Tragic Fate on the I-5 Highway

In Portland, a woman named Amy Marie Gaudette, aged 43, is facing vehicular homicide charges following a fatal crash on Interstate 5. This incident occurred when she, driving the wrong way, collided head-on with another vehicle, resulting in the death of 67-year-old Stephen M. Wesley of Vancouver. Investigations revealed that Gaudette's blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the accident. Her bail was set at $90,000, and she appeared in court via Zoom, wearing a suicide-prevention smock. Her arraignment is scheduled for February 20, with conditions including an interlock device, SCRAM monitoring, and random urine and blood tests if bail is posted​
